Live Casino on 99Exch: How Dealer Tables Work
Rules, round timing and the house edge, in plain numbers
The casino lobby on the 99exch panel has a live section where a real dealer deals cards or spins a wheel on a video stream, and you bet from your ID balance. Those tables are run by specialist game studios, not by us and not by the exchange itself. Our job is the ID and the money; this page explains what you are actually playing.
One point up front, because it shapes everything else: unlike exchange betting, where you bet against other players, every casino game has a built-in house edge. The rules are designed so that the house keeps a small percentage of everything wagered over time. No betting system changes that.
Live tables vs RNG games
| Live dealer table | RNG (instant) game | |
|---|---|---|
| How results are made | Real cards or a real wheel on camera | A random number generator in software |
| Pace | Fixed rounds, often 30 seconds to a minute or more | As fast as you tap |
| Who else is there | Many players betting on the same round | Just you |
| House edge | Set by the game rules and payouts | Set by the game's RTP |
| Data use | Higher; a video stream | Lower |
Slower rounds are a real advantage for your bankroll, because fewer rounds an hour means less money wagered and a smaller expected loss. RNG games are covered on our casino games page.
Round timing and the bet window
Every live round follows the same cycle: a countdown timer opens for bets, the dealer announces no more bets, the cards are dealt or the wheel spins, the result is shown and winnings are credited. Then the timer starts again.
- Bets placed after the timer reaches zero are not accepted, even if your screen still showed a second left. Stream lag on mobile data is the usual cause.
- If your connection drops mid-round, a bet that was accepted before the cut-off still plays out. Check the game's history or your bet list when you reconnect rather than placing it again.
- Malfunctions (a misdeal, a ball leaving the wheel) are handled under the game's own rules, usually by voiding the round. Each table has an info or rules button; use it.
The common live games, briefly and accurately
Rules and payouts vary slightly between studios and table versions. The descriptions below are the standard versions; always check the payout panel on the table you are playing.
Andar Bahar
One card, the "joker" or game card, is turned face up. The dealer then deals cards alternately to two sides, Andar and Bahar, until a card of the same rank appears. The side that receives it wins. Because the side dealt first has a slightly better chance of winning, many tables pay that side a little less than even money (for example 0.9 to 1) while the other side pays 1 to 1. Side bets on how many cards will be dealt pay more but carry a higher edge.
Teen Patti
A three-card game. In the live casino versions you usually bet on which of two hands, often called Player A and Player B, will win. Hand ranking from highest: Trail (three of a kind), Pure Sequence (straight flush), Sequence (straight), Colour (flush), Pair, then High Card. Side bets on a specific hand type are available on many tables.
Dragon Tiger
One card to Dragon, one to Tiger. The higher card wins; in the standard version aces are low. Dragon and Tiger pay 1 to 1. If the two cards tie, Dragon and Tiger bets usually lose half the stake, and a separate Tie bet pays around 8 to 1 or more depending on the table. That half-stake loss on ties is where the house edge on the main bets comes from: about 3.7% in the standard version.
Roulette
European roulette has 37 pockets: 1 to 36 plus a single zero. A straight-up number pays 35 to 1; red/black or odd/even pays 1 to 1. The zero is the edge: on an even-money bet you win 18 times in 37, not 18 in 36. That works out to a house edge of 2.7%. American wheels with a double zero have 38 pockets and an edge of about 5.26%, so pick the single-zero table if both are offered.
Baccarat
You bet on Player, Banker or Tie. Card values and drawing rules are fixed; you make no decisions after betting. Banker wins slightly more often, so Banker wins are usually paid at 0.95 to 1 (a 5% commission). Standard house edge: about 1.06% on Banker, 1.24% on Player and around 14% on a Tie that pays 8 to 1. The Tie bet looks tempting and is the worst bet on the table.
What the house edge means in rupees
House edge is the average share of every bet the game keeps over a long run. It does not tell you what will happen in one session, but it tells you what a session costs on average.
Example: you play European roulette at ₹100 a spin on red. A live table runs roughly 40 spins an hour, so you wager about ₹4,000 an hour. At 2.7%, your expected loss is about ₹108 per hour. Some nights you will be well up, some well down, but that average is what the game is built to collect.
Why doubling up does not work
The "double after every loss" system (Martingale) feels safe because you usually win back a small amount. Start at ₹100 on red and lose seven spins in a row, and your next bet must be ₹12,800, having already lost ₹12,700. Seven reds missing in a row on a single-zero wheel happens roughly once in every 106 attempts, so over a few evenings it is likely, and the table maximum or your balance stops you long before the system "works". No system changes the edge; it only changes the shape of the losses.
Bankroll limits that actually help
- Decide the session amount before you open the table and treat it as spent. When it is gone, close the lobby.
- Set a time limit. Because the edge applies to every round, time at the table is the biggest driver of what you lose.
- Keep the stake small relative to your budget, for example no more than 1 to 2% of the session amount per round, so one bad run does not end the night in ten minutes.
- Do not move money from your cricket balance to win back a casino loss, or the other way round. Players do this all the time and it is how one bad night becomes a bad month.
- Ask us to block casino access or close your ID if you notice you are chasing. We will.
Live casino is paid entertainment with real financial risk, not a way to earn money. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 restricts online money games nationally, and several states have their own bans. Picking a live table on 99exch: speed, limits and language
Several tables of the same game are usually listed. They differ in ways that change what an hour costs.
- Dealer speed. A fast dealer deals more rounds per hour. More rounds is more turnover, and the house edge applies per round. A slower table costs less per hour at the same stake.
- Table limits. Pick a minimum that is a small fraction of your evening's figure. A ₹100 minimum with ₹2,000 to spend is twenty rounds of margin; a ₹500 minimum is four.
- Language. Some tables have Hindi-speaking dealers. It changes nothing about the maths; it does make rules questions easier.
- Side-bet layout. Tables that put side bets front and centre are designed to be tapped. Prefer the layout that makes the main bet the obvious one.
- Stream quality. A high-bitrate stream on mobile data is expensive. Lower quality costs nothing in fairness.
Whatever table you pick, the limit you set before you sit down is the only thing that decides the evening. The house edge is published; your stopping point is not, unless you write it down. The responsible gaming page is where the desk's pause rules live.

Why the exchange mindset fails at a live table
Players who are disciplined on cricket markets often lose their discipline at a live table, and the reason is structural, not personal.
- On the exchange you choose your price. At a table the price is fixed and always slightly against you. There is no value to find.
- On the exchange a bad bet can be hedged. At a table a bet is final the moment the window closes.
- On the exchange events are minutes apart. At a table they are thirty seconds apart, which is roughly a hundred decisions an hour.
- On the exchange the other side is a person. At a table it is a payout table that does not get tired, tilt or misprice.
So the tools that work on cricket, reading, patience, hedging, do nothing here. The only tools that work at a live table are the limits on this page, decided before you sit down. The cricket betting page is where the exchange tools belong; the casino games page covers the RNG side, where the same lesson applies at even higher speed.
Each live table on 99exch, with the one bet to avoid
Every live game has a main bet with a modest house edge and side bets with a much larger one. The side bets are where an evening's budget disappears. Here they are, table by table.
| Table | Main bet, typical edge | Worst bet on the table | Why it is worse |
|---|---|---|---|
| Teen Patti (live) | Player A / Player B, low single digits | Pair-plus and specific-hand side bets | Paid well below true odds |
| Andar Bahar | Andar or Bahar, around 2% to 3% | Exact-card-count side bets | Edges well into double digits |
| Dragon Tiger | Dragon or Tiger, under 4% | Tie and Suited Tie | Tie pays 8 to 1 on a roughly 1 in 13 event |
| Roulette (single zero) | Any bet, 2.7% | None worse; all equal | The only table where every bet costs the same |
| Baccarat | Banker, just over 1% | Tie | Pays 8 to 1 on a roughly 9.5% event |
| Lucky 7 / Hi-Lo | High or Low, mid single digits | Exactly 7 | Pays far below the 1 in 13 chance |
| 32 Cards | Any player, mid single digits | None worse structurally | Edge is in the payout differences between players |
Figures are typical for these game types; the exact payout table is in each game's info panel and is the number that counts. The pattern holds everywhere: main bets are the price of the entertainment, side bets are a surcharge.
An evening at a 99exch live table, with the numbers
Here is what the house edge actually looks like across a session, so you can judge an evening by the right standard.
You sit at Andar Bahar with ₹2,000 and bet ₹100 on the main bet every round. Rounds take about 30 seconds. In an hour you place roughly 100 bets, ₹10,000 of total turnover. At a 2.5% edge the expected loss for the hour is about ₹250. Some hours you finish up ₹600; some you finish down ₹900. Over many hours the average settles toward ₹250 an hour.
Now add one ₹50 side bet per round at a 12% edge: another ₹5,000 of turnover and about ₹600 of expected loss. The side bet more than triples the cost of the hour while feeling like a small extra.
| Session | Turnover | Expected cost | Realistic range |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 hour, ₹100 main bets only | ₹10,000 | ≈ ₹250 | −₹1,200 to +₹900 |
| 1 hour, plus ₹50 side bets | ₹15,000 | ≈ ₹850 | −₹2,000 to +₹600 |
| 3 hours, main bets only | ₹30,000 | ≈ ₹750 | −₹2,500 to +₹1,200 |
The range is why people believe they are "due" or "hot". The expected cost is what is actually happening underneath. The statement at the end of the month tells you which one you have been living in.
How a live round works on the 99exch casino tab
- Betting window opens. A countdown shows, usually 10 to 20 seconds. Your bets are accepted and debited from balance.
- Window closes. "No more bets". Anything tapped now is rejected; that is correct behaviour.
- Dealer acts. Cards dealt or wheel spun on the video stream. The result is read from the physical table.
- Result posted. Winning bets are credited within a second or two. The statement gets one line per bet.
- Next window. The cycle repeats without pause.
What to do when the video freezes
The stream and the game logic are separate. If the video freezes, the round continues on the table and your bet stands. Do not place another bet thinking the first failed; check the result when the stream recovers. If the stream is down for a long period, the panel voids the affected rounds and returns stakes. If a round shows "cancelled", the dealer made an error and the round was replayed; your stake returned.
Disputes about a live result
The result is what the dealer dealt, recorded by the game provider. A desk cannot change it. If you believe a result was posted wrongly, send the round ID and time to the desk; we ask upstream and tell you the answer. This happens rarely and is almost always a misread of which side won.
Setting a live casino limit that survives contact with a good run
Limits fail at the moment they are needed, which is when you are winning or losing fast. Three structures that hold up.
- Time, not money. Decide 45 minutes before you sit down and set a phone alarm. Stop when it rings, up or down. Money limits bend; alarms do not.
- A fixed buy-in with no top-up. Transfer a figure to your mind as "tonight's", and if it is gone the evening is over. Do not deposit mid-session; that is the rule the desk will help you keep if you ask us to.
- A walk-away number. If the buy-in doubles, leave. Players who do this are the ones who describe casino evenings as fun.
You can also ask the desk to pause your ID for a day or a week; see responsible gaming. The RNG side of the casino tab, with crash games and slots, works differently and has its own numbers on the casino games page.
