My 99exch: Reading Your Balance, Exposure and Statement Correctly
What every number and menu in the 99exch account area means, how balance and exposure relate, and the weekly habits that keep an ID healthy.
"My 99exch" is the account side of the panel: everything that is about you rather than about the markets. The balance strip, the bet list, the statement, the password settings. It is also where most confusion happens, because the exchange shows money in a way a bank app does not. A number drops when you lay a bet. A win shows up as two lines. The statement has entries you do not remember. None of that is a fault; it is how an exchange keeps books. This page reads my 99exch line by line.
The four things my 99exch is really about: balance, exposure, bets and statement.
Balance versus exposure, with numbers
The top strip on 99exch shows two figures. Balance is what you can use. Exposure is the amount reserved against positions still waiting for a result. They move together, and most "my money disappeared" messages to the desk are the second one being misread.
| Action | Balance | Exposure | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deposit ₹5,000 loaded | ₹5,000 | ₹0 | Nothing open yet |
| Back India ₹1,000 at 1.90 | ₹4,000 | ₹1,000 | A back reserves the stake |
| Lay Australia ₹1,000 at 3.00 | ₹2,000 | ₹3,000 | A lay reserves (3.00 − 1) × ₹1,000 = ₹2,000 more |
| India win, both bets settle | ₹5,900 + ₹1,000 = ₹6,900 | ₹0 | Back wins ₹900, lay wins the ₹1,000 stake, reserves released |
| Commission deducted | slightly under ₹6,900 | ₹0 | A small percentage of net winnings on exchange markets |
The rule to remember on my 99exch: exposure is not lost money. It is reserved money. It comes back on a win and is kept on a loss. If exposure is high and you want to withdraw, you cannot withdraw it until the bets settle. The exchange basics guide goes deeper on liability.
The 99exch bet list: matched, unmatched, settled
Every bet you place on 99exch appears in the bet list with a state. Three states matter.
- Unmatched. You asked for a price nobody has taken yet. The money is reserved but no bet exists. You can cancel it and the reserve comes back instantly. Unmatched bets are the most common reason a player thinks they "have a bet" when they do not.
- Matched. Someone took the other side. The bet is live and will settle on the result. On a fast-moving cricket market a bet can match partially: ₹600 of a ₹1,000 stake matched, ₹400 still waiting.
- Settled. The market has a result and the profit or loss has hit your statement. Settled bets drop into history.
Check the bet list before you leave a match. An unmatched lay you forgot about can match ten minutes later at a price you no longer want. Our cricket betting page shows how prices move during a live innings and why that matters for unmatched bets.
Bookmaker and fancy entries
Bets on the bookmaker market and on session or fancy lines show in the same list but settle at the panel's rate rather than against another player. They appear with the rate you took, for example "Yes 49 @ 100", and settle when the session result is declared. If a session line is voided because of rain or a stoppage, the stake comes back and the line shows as void.
Reading the my 99exch account statement
The statement is the ledger. Every deposit the desk loads, every settled bet, every casino round and every withdrawal shows as a line with a date, a description, a credit or debit and the running balance. Read it once a week. It is the single best protection against two problems: a bet you did not place, and a deposit the desk forgot to load.
| Statement line | Means | Check |
|---|---|---|
| Credit with "deposit" or the desk's label | The desk loaded your payment | Amount matches the UTR you sent |
| Debit with a market name | A settled losing bet | You recognise the bet in history |
| Credit with a market name | A settled winning bet, after commission | Profit roughly matches stake × (odds − 1) |
| Several small debits and credits with a casino name | Casino rounds, one line each | Session length and total feel right to you |
| Debit with "withdrawal" | A payout requested | Money reached your own UPI or bank |
If a statement line does not match your memory, do not argue with the panel. Screenshot it, change your password, and send it to the desk with the time. We can see the same ledger from the agent side and trace what happened.
Both passwords live in my 99exch
The account menu is where you change the login password and, on most 99exch panels, set or change the separate withdrawal password. Change the login password on day one. Set the withdrawal password the first time you request a payout and make it different. If either is forgotten, the desk resets it; the 99exch com login password page explains how, and why there is no email reset link.
Limits and what you can change yourself
Minimum and maximum stakes per market are set by the panel and shown on the bet slip. You cannot raise them yourself; a desk can sometimes request a higher limit for an established ID. What you can do yourself is set your own limit: decide a weekly deposit figure and tell the desk. We will hold you to it. The responsible gaming page explains pauses and closures.
Keeping my 99exch healthy: a five-minute weekly routine
- Open the statement, filter to the last seven days, and read every line.
- Open the bet list and cancel any unmatched bet you no longer want.
- Compare total deposits in the week against the figure you set yourself.
- If anything in the statement is unfamiliar, change the password before you message the desk.
- Withdraw what you do not plan to play with. A balance sitting on a 99exch ID is not a savings account.
Players who do this do not send us panicked messages at midnight. Players who do not, do. The withdrawal guide covers the payout step in detail, including why exposure blocks a withdrawal.
The monthly my 99exch review, in fifteen minutes
Weekly is for catching errors. Monthly is for telling yourself the truth. The panel will not do it for you, because it does not know your deposits.
- From your bank or UPI app: total paid to the desk this month, total received from the desk this month.
- From the panel: balance plus exposure right now, and the same figure from your note a month ago.
- Result: received − paid + (balance now − balance a month ago). Negative is a loss for the month, whatever the P&L screen's colours suggest.
- Hours: roughly how many hours were spent on the panel. Divide the result by the hours. That is what the month cost or paid per hour.
- Compare to the figure you told the desk you would deposit weekly. If you exceeded it, say so to the desk and reset it.
- Withdraw anything above what next month needs.
Players who do this monthly for a year end up in one of two places: enjoying the exchange as paid entertainment at a price they know, or deciding to stop. Both are fine outcomes. The third place, not knowing, is the one the responsible gaming page exists for.
Reconciling a week of my 99exch, line by line
Here is a realistic week on a 99exch statement and how to check it against your own memory. Do this once and the statement stops looking like noise.
| Date | Line | Debit | Credit | Running balance | Your check |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mon | Deposit | ₹3,000 | ₹3,000 | Matches the UTR you sent | |
| Mon | Match odds, Team A back 1.80 × ₹500 | ₹400 | ₹3,400 | ₹500 × 0.80 = ₹400, settled win | |
| Tue | Commission on Monday's win | ₹8 | ₹3,392 | Small percentage of ₹400, applied at settlement | |
| Tue | Session 10-over Yes 78 × ₹300 | ₹300 | ₹3,092 | You remember taking it; the side made 74 | |
| Wed | Lay Team B 2.40 × ₹400 | ₹560 | ₹2,532 | Liability 1.40 × ₹400 = ₹560; the lay lost | |
| Thu | Live table, 14 rounds | ₹310 | ₹190 | ₹2,412 | Net −₹120 for the session; count the lines |
| Fri | Bookmaker Team C rate 60 × ₹200 | ₹120 | ₹2,532 | ₹200 × 0.60 = ₹120, settled win, no commission on bookmaker | |
| Sat | Withdrawal | ₹1,500 | ₹1,032 | Money reached your own UPI |
Every line here has a check you can do in your head. If a line fails its check, that is the line to send to the desk, with the date and the bet reference, before anything else. Most "statement errors" turn out to be a lay liability or a session you forgot; the ones that are not are caught fastest by players who reconcile weekly.
Exposure scenarios that confuse my 99exch readers
Exposure is simple with one bet and tricky with several on the same market. These are the shapes that generate questions.
Back and lay on the same runner
Back Team A at 2.00 for ₹1,000, then lay Team A at 1.80 for ₹1,000. If A wins: back pays ₹1,000, lay costs ₹800, net +₹200. If A loses: back loses ₹1,000, lay wins ₹1,000, net ₹0. Exposure shows the worst case, which is ₹0 here; the panel has netted the two. This is a "green up" and the exposure column is how you confirm you did it right.
Two lays on different runners in a three-way market
Test match: lay Team A at 3.0 for ₹500 (liability ₹1,000) and lay the Draw at 2.5 for ₹500 (liability ₹750). Exposure is ₹1,000, not ₹1,750, because both lays cannot lose at once; only one runner wins. The worst case is A winning.
Session line plus match odds
Different markets do not net. A ₹300 session stake and a ₹600 lay liability on match odds show as ₹900 exposure, and both can lose.
Partially matched lay
You lay ₹1,000 at 2.2 but only ₹600 matches. Exposure shows liability on the matched part, 1.2 × ₹600 = ₹720, plus the reserve on the unmatched ₹400. Cancel the unmatched portion and exposure drops to ₹720.
When exposure does not match your own arithmetic, the bet list explains it nine times out of ten. The exchange basics guide has more worked positions.
When each 99exch market settles to the statement
| Market | Settles | Typical delay | Void when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Match odds | Official result | Minutes after the match | Abandoned with no result |
| Bookmaker | Official result | Minutes after the match | As above |
| Session / fancy | End of the stated segment | Within the over or two after | Segment not completed because of rain, injury or declaration |
| Toss | At the toss | Immediate | No toss held |
| Player props | End of the player's involvement | Can be hours | Player does not bat or bowl |
| Casino rounds | Each round | Instant | Dealer error, round replayed |
If a market has not settled long after the event, it is usually awaiting a result confirmation on the panel's side, and the desk cannot speed it up. If it still shows open the next morning, send the market name and the desk will ask upstream.
Reading my 99exch profit and loss honestly
The panel's profit and loss view shows settled results per market. It does not show commission as a separate line in every version, and it never shows the deposits you made. Three numbers tell you the truth about a period, and only one of them is on the panel.
- Total deposited in the period: from your own bank or UPI history.
- Total withdrawn: from the same place.
- Current balance plus exposure: from the panel.
Result = withdrawn + (balance + exposure) − deposited. If that number is negative, you are down by that much, whatever the profit and loss screen's green lines say about individual matches. Work it out monthly. It is the single most useful habit on this page, and the one most players avoid.
Limits, and the limit you set yourself
Panel limits per market are fixed by the exchange and shown on the bet slip. The limit that matters is the one you tell the desk: a weekly deposit figure. We will hold you to it even when you ask us not to on a Friday night. That is in our rules, and it is the reason some players stay with a desk for years.
My 99exch questions
There is no page with that exact name. "My 99exch" is what players call the account area after login: the balance strip, the bet list, the account statement and the password settings. On most panels these sit under an account or profile menu at the top right.
Open bets reserve money as exposure. If you have ₹5,000 and lay a bet with ₹2,000 liability, the balance shows ₹3,000 available and ₹2,000 exposure. When the market settles, the exposure is released back or kept depending on the result.
The maximum you can lose on your currently open bets. For a back bet it equals the stake. For a lay bet it equals (odds minus 1) times stake. Exposure is not a charge; it is money set aside until settlement.
Check the bet list first. Most "unknown debits" are a settled lay bet or a casino round. If the statement shows a bet you did not place, change your password immediately and message the desk with the bet ID.
Most panels show the statement with a date filter and let you scroll it. Some allow an export. If you need a record for your own budgeting, screenshot the statement at the end of each week.
Account menu, then change password. You need the current password and the new one. If you have forgotten the current one, the desk resets it from the agent side; see the 99exch com login password page.
