There is no 99exch app in the Play Store or App Store. The 99exch panel is a web application that runs in any modern browser, and that is how we recommend every player uses it. Some desks hand out an APK that is a thin wrapper around that same web panel. It works, until the extension address inside it changes, and it is also the single most copied file in this space: a fake 99exch APK that shows a login form and sends your username and password somewhere else is how most stolen IDs happen. This page lays out the download question honestly so you can make a safe decision.

99exch download safety: the panel runs in Chrome and Safari, APK only from your own desk chat

The safe 99exch download is not a download. It is a home-screen icon.

What a 99exch download actually is

When a desk sends a 99exch APK, the file is a small Android app whose only job is to open the panel's mobile address inside a web view. Everything you see once it opens, from the welcome to 99exch screen to the m home lobby, is the same web page you would get in Chrome. The APK adds nothing: no extra markets, no better odds, no faster settlement. It subtracts two things. It cannot follow the panel when an extension address changes, and it asks you to allow installation from unknown sources, which weakens the phone for everything else.

The browser route gives you the same icon on the home screen with none of that. It updates itself because it is just a web page, it follows address changes when you re-pin, and it asks for no permissions. The 99exch app page covers daily use of the browser version in more depth.

The safe 99exch "download": pin it in four steps

1

Open the panel from your desk chat

Use the link your desk sent, not a search result. Log in once so the browser remembers the session.

2

Android: Add to Home screen

In Chrome tap the three-dot menu, then "Add to Home screen", then Add. An icon appears on the launcher.

3

iPhone: Add to Home Screen

In Safari open the Share sheet, pick "Add to Home Screen", then Add. Chrome on iPhone cannot do this; use Safari.

4

Open from the icon

It launches the 99exch mobile lobby full-screen, like an app, with nothing installed and nothing to update.

How to recognise a fake 99exch APK

Search "99exch apk download" and you will find dozens of files. Most are not from any desk at all. They are built to collect logins or to install something else alongside. Run any APK through this table before you tap install, and if it fails one row, delete it.

CheckWrapper from a deskFake build

If you installed something that fails these checks, uninstall it, change your 99exch password through the browser immediately, and tell the desk. The 99exch com login password page explains the reset. The 99exch app download guide has a longer discussion of the APK question.

99exch download on iPhone

iPhones cannot install APKs and there is no App Store app, so "99exch download iOS" has a one-line answer: Safari. Open the panel from your desk link in Safari, tap the Share icon, choose Add to Home Screen, tap Add. The icon opens the 99exch mobile lobby full-screen. Chrome on iPhone does not offer that option, so use Safari for the pinning step even if you prefer Chrome otherwise.

Any site offering a "99exch iOS app", a TestFlight link, or an enterprise profile to install is asking you to weaken your phone's security for a web page. Decline it.

Android without an APK

The same applies on Android: Chrome, three dots, Add to Home screen. You get an icon, a full-screen panel and no "unknown sources" permission. When the desk tells you the extension address has changed, open the new link once, re-pin, and delete the old icon. That is the whole maintenance routine.

Cache, storage and the pinned 99exch icon

Players clear browser data to fix something unrelated and then find their 99exch icon "broken". It is not; here is exactly what each kind of clearing does.

You clearEffect on the pinned iconEffect on your 99exch account
Cache onlyNone; next load fetches fresh filesNone
Cookies and site dataSigns you out; icon still opens the addressNone; log in again
Saved passwordsNoneNone; you type the password next time
Browsing historyNoneNone
Uninstall the browserIcon removed with itNone; reinstall, open the desk's link, re-pin

Nothing you can clear on your phone touches the account. The balance, bets and statement live on the exchange. The worst case of any clearing is one extra login and one re-pin. Compare that with an APK, where "clear data" can reset the app to a state that needs a fresh install from a file you may no longer trust. The 99exch app page covers the browser version day to day.

How a fake 99exch download campaign unfolds

Fake APKs are not random. They follow a pattern that a desk sees repeat every big tournament. Knowing the stages lets you recognise one from the first message.

  1. A block lands. A popular extension stops opening on one operator. Thousands of players lose their link on the same evening.
  2. The pitch appears. In cricket groups, video comments and search results: "99exch not opening? Download the official app, works on every network." The file is hosted on a download site, not sent by any desk.
  3. The app looks right. Logo, colours, a login screen. It even opens a real extension in some builds, so the balance shows and nothing seems wrong.
  4. The permissions do the work. SMS access reads OTPs; accessibility access reads screens. The 99exch login is the bait, the bank is the target.
  5. Days later, the loss. A UPI transfer the player did not make, or casino sessions on the ID overnight.
  6. The next block. New file, new name, same pattern.

The chain breaks at step two every time, if the player asks the desk for the open extension instead of downloading anything. The 99exch green page is the two-minute alternative to step two.

Questions iPhone and Android users ask about the 99exch download

"My friend has an app icon and I don't. Did he download something?"

Probably not. He pinned the browser version to his home screen. It looks identical to an app icon. The 99exch app page has the steps for both platforms.

"The pinned icon stopped working after I cleared my browser."

Clearing site data signed you out; the icon still works, you just need to log in again. If you cleared the browser's shortcuts or uninstalled the browser, re-pin from the desk's link.

"Why does the browser version not remember me for long?"

Idle timeout on the panel, not the browser. Logging in again is the whole cost. Saving the password after you changed it from the temporary one makes it one tap.

"Is there a 99exch desktop app for Windows or Mac?"

No. The browser is the desktop app too. Any installer claiming to be one should be treated like a fake APK.

"The desk sent me an APK. Should I refuse it?"

You can decline politely and use the browser; a reasonable desk will not mind. If you install it, run the inspection checklist above first and keep the browser version as your primary.

"I have a cheap phone with little storage. Which is lighter?"

The browser version. It stores almost nothing. An APK takes space and, if it is a wrapper, duplicates what Chrome already does.

"Can the panel tell whether I am on the browser or an APK?"

Not in any way that affects you. Odds, limits and settlement are identical. There is no app-only feature on 99exch.

How to inspect a 99exch APK before you tap install

If a desk has sent you an APK and you want to use it anyway, you can check it in two minutes without any technical tools. None of these checks proves a file is safe. Each one catches a class of fakes.

  1. Where did the file physically come from? A file sent directly in your desk chat, after you asked for it, is the only acceptable source. A link to a download site is not the same thing, even if your desk sent the link.
  2. Size. Long-press the file and look at the size. A wrapper around a web page is small. A file many times larger is carrying something else.
  3. Name. Fake builds love official-sounding names with version numbers and words like "official", "new" or "pro". A wrapper from a desk is usually plainly named.
  4. Permissions on install. Android lists what the app wants. Internet is expected. Storage is tolerable. Contacts, SMS, phone, call logs, accessibility service, device administrator, or "display over other apps" are each a reason to cancel.
  5. First screen after opening. You should see the panel's own welcome screen with its address visible in some form, or recognisably the same login the browser shows. A hard-coded login form with no address, or extra fields, is a capture page.
  6. Play Protect. Google's scanner runs on install from unknown sources. If it warns, stop. If it does not warn, that proves little, because many capture apps are not yet flagged.

Our view has not changed: the browser version does everything the APK does, with none of the checklist. The 99exch app page covers daily use in the browser.

What each Android permission would let a fake 99exch app do

PermissionNeeded for a web wrapper? What a fake uses it for
InternetYesEverything, legitimately
StorageRarelyReading screenshots and documents
SMSNoReading bank OTPs and UPI messages
ContactsNoSpamming your contacts with the same APK
Phone / call logsNoProfiling and number harvesting
Accessibility serviceNoReading everything on screen, including your UPI app
Display over other appsNoFake overlays on top of your banking app
Device administratorNoMaking itself hard to uninstall
Install unknown appsNoPulling down a second payload later

The SMS and accessibility rows are the ones that empty bank accounts, not betting balances. A fake 99exch app is rarely after your 99exch password alone; the password is the bait and the SMS permission is the payload.

If you already installed a doubtful 99exch APK

Do these in order. The order matters because the first steps cut off the damage and the later ones repair it.

  1. Turn on airplane mode. Stops the app sending anything further while you work.
  2. Uninstall it. Settings, Apps, find it, uninstall. If uninstall is greyed out, it took device administrator rights: Settings, Security, Device admin apps, remove it there first.
  3. Revoke "install unknown apps" for the browser or messenger that installed it.
  4. Turn data back on and change your 99exch password through the browser on your desk's link. The login password page covers the desk reset if the old password no longer works.
  5. Check your UPI and bank apps for transactions you did not make. If you find any, your bank's fraud line comes before anything else.
  6. Change your UPI PIN and, if the app had SMS access, treat any OTP-protected account as exposed.
  7. Tell the desk. We check your bet list and statement for activity you did not place and watch the ID for a few days.

Players who do this within the hour almost always lose nothing. Players who wait a day sometimes lose from their bank, not from 99exch.

The home-screen version of 99exch, in detail

When you add the panel to your home screen, the browser creates what it calls a shortcut or a web app. Here is what that actually gives you and where it differs from a real app, so you are not surprised.

  • Full-screen launch without the browser bars on most phones. Convenient, but you cannot see the address, so open the real browser occasionally to verify it.
  • No notifications. The panel does not push alerts for settled bets or price moves. If an "app" sends you notifications, it is not the panel.
  • Session is shared with the browser it was created from. Logging in on the icon logs you in on that browser too.
  • Storage is tiny; it is just a page. Clearing the browser's site data for the panel signs you out of the icon as well.
  • Updates are automatic because there is nothing installed. Whatever the panel changes, you get on the next load.
  • Address is fixed. When the desk moves you to another extension, re-pin from the new link and delete the old icon. The m home page describes the lobby it opens to.

That is the whole "99exch download" story. One icon, no file, no permissions, and nothing to inspect.

99exch download questions

The 99exch panel is a web application and works in Chrome and Safari. Some desks circulate an APK that wraps the same web panel. Neither Google Play nor the Apple App Store carries a 99exch app, so any store listing using the name is not the exchange.

Only if it came directly from your own desk in your own chat, and even then the browser version is what we recommend. An APK from a search result, a Telegram group or a forwarded message can carry anything, and a fake 99exch APK that captures your login is the most common way IDs are stolen.

You do not. iPhones cannot install APKs, and there is no App Store app. Open the panel in Safari, use the Share sheet, and pick Add to Home Screen. The icon opens the 99exch mobile lobby like an app.

A wrapper around a web page needs almost nothing. If an APK asks for contacts, SMS, call logs or accessibility access, it is doing something other than showing you the panel. Uninstall it and change your 99exch password.

No. The APK, when one exists, shows the same panel as the browser. Odds, settlement and limits are set by the exchange, not the client.

Usually the extension address inside the old APK has been blocked or changed. Open the current link from your desk chat in the browser instead, and pin that. The browser version follows address changes; an APK does not.
